The four-armed deity, rendered in a monochromatic, almost charcoal-black finish, is depicted in a dynamic, advancing pose, her right leg bent and her left leg slightly extended, balanced atop the recumbent figure of her consort, Lord Shiva. Kali’s formidable countenance features wide, intense eyes, an elongated tongue protruding from her mouth, and an expression that conveys both wrath and ultimate control. She wears an ornate crown adorned with sun-ray motifs and an impressive garland of human skulls or severed heads draped around her neck, symbolizing cycles of life, death, and liberation. Her body is richly adorned with numerous necklaces, armlets, and bracelets, all rendered with meticulous detail. In her upper right hand, Kali brandishes a curved sword (khadga) raised in a powerful gesture, signifying the destruction of ignorance and evil.
