The sculpture on the left, presented in a clear front view, depicts a mythological figure, likely Garuda, the divine eagle-like vahana (mount) of Vishnu in Hindu mythology. This figure is captured in a reverent, kneeling or squatting posture, with hands pressed together in "Anjali Mudra," a gesture of prayer and devotion. The detailed carving showcases a regal appearance with an elaborate, tiered crown adorning a serene face that features finely sculpted eyes, nose, and mouth. Majestic, feathered wings spread outwards and upwards from the figure's back, intricately textured to mimic natural plumage. The muscular torso is adorned with traditional jewelry including armbands, bracelets, and a necklace, while a flowing dhoti or loincloth covers the lower body. Around his waist and legs, a coiled element, possibly a serpent or rope, is subtly integrated into the design, referencing Garuda's legendary role as the vanquisher of Nagas.
