The entire statue is rendered in a deep, textured dark grey, emphasizing its stone material and detailed craftsmanship. Shiva is captured mid-dance, balancing triumphantly on his right leg, which is bent at the knee and rests upon the prostrate dwarf figure of Apasmara, who embodies ignorance and forgetfulness. His left leg is gracefully raised and bent, indicating dynamic movement. Shiva has four arms: his upper right hand holds a small drum (damaru), symbolizing creation; his upper left hand bears a blazing flame (agni), representing destruction and transformation. His lower right hand is raised in the abhaya mudra, signifying protection and dispelling fear, while his lower left hand gestures towards his raised left foot, symbolizing salvation and liberation. Shiva's face expresses serene detachment, adorned with an elaborate crown, intricate necklaces, armlets, bracelets, and anklets. A finely detailed dhoti with delicate patterns wraps around his waist. The dwarf Apasmara lies on his back, looking upwards, supporting the deity's weight, with discernible facial features and body contours.
