  • Sale! magnificent, intricately carved sandstone sculpture depicts the Hindu deities Lord Krishna and Radha, accompanied by a sacred cow, against a plain dark background. The entire piece is rendered in an earthy, reddish-brown hue, highlighting the detailed craftsmanship and natural texture of the carved stone. In the center, Lord Krishna stands in a graceful, dynamic pose, with his left leg crossed over his right, as if in mid-dance. He holds a long bansuri (flute) to his lips with both hands, appearing to play a melodious tune. Krishna is adorned with a towering, ornate crown (mukut), elaborate necklaces, armbands, and anklets, and his traditional dhoti-like garment is intricately detailed with folds and patterns. His facial expression is serene and joyful, with soft features. To Krishna's right, Radha stands elegantly, slightly turned towards him, her gaze fixed lovingly upon him. She holds a 'kalash' (pot or urn), possibly symbolizing offerings or abundance, at her hip with both hands. Radha's attire features flowing drapery, delicate jewelry including earrings and necklaces, and her hair is styled elegantly. Her expression is one of devotion and admiration. At Krishna's feet, a small, docile calf or young cow is nestled, looking up at him, reinforcing Krishna's role as Gopala (the protector of cows) and connecting the scene to the pastoral landscapes of Vrindavan.
