The sculpture captures Shiva in a serene and deeply meditative posture, seated in Padmasana (lotus position) with his legs crossed and soles facing upwards. His hands rest gently in his lap, palms open and one over the other, forming the Dhyana Mudra, a gesture symbolizing deep contemplation, focus, and inner peace. Lord Shiva's face is characterized by a tranquil expression, with eyes softly closed or downcast, conveying profound serenity. A distinct third eye is visible on his forehead, signifying wisdom and divine insight. His hair is elaborately styled into Jata Mukuta (matted locks), piled high on his head, with some strands gracefully flowing over his shoulders. Adding to his iconic representation, a magnificent cobra (Naga) with its hood raised majestically coils over his left shoulder, symbolizing mastery over ego and the cycle of time.
