In Hinduism, Garuda is a Upadevata, a heavenly existence, and is represented as the mount of Sri Vishnu. Garuda is normally depicted as being a powerful man; having a golden, bright body; with a white face, red wings, and an eagle’s beak. He is decorated with a crown on his head. This very ancient god is assumed to have a huge form, big enough to obstruct the Sun God.
