Hanuman Marble Murti 18″

Materials: White Marble is used in this Hanuman Statue.

Pawanputra Hanuman was an incarnation of Lord Shiva and we consider them to be an exemplification of strength, devotion, and perseverance.

Hanuman is worshipped as a subsidiary figure in temples devoted to Rama and also directly in shrines dedicated to Hanuman himself. The latter are generally thronged by monkeys, who know that they cannot be mistreated there. In temples throughout India, he appears in the form of a monkey with a red face while standing erect like a human. For his service to Rama, Hanuman is also a model for all human devotion.

Hanuman is also a popular figure among Buddhists in Central, Southeast, and East Asia, and throughout those areas, many temples have been erected for his worship, and districts of towns bear his name. Outside India, however, rather different tales are told of him. Although steadfastly chaste in the Sanskrit tradition, for instance, he has wives and children in other traditions. He is viewed as the ideal combination of “strength, heroic initiative and assertive excellence” and “loving, emotional devotion to his personal god Rama”, as Shakti and Bhakti. Special attention is given to the hand gesture in this Hanuman Marble Murti.

Pawanputra Hanuman was an incarnation of Lord Shiva and is considered to be an exemplification of strength, devotion, and perseverance. The name, ‘Hanuman’ actually means ‘disfigured jaw’ in Sanskrit. Although he was a brahmchari , Lord Hanuman had a son – Makardhwaja. Hanuman also created his version of Ramayan – which was supposedly a superior version compared to that of Valmiki’s. When Lord Rama’s time of death was at hand, Lord Hanuman barred Yama from claiming him. There are 108 names for Lord Hanuman in the Sanskrit Language. All our Hanuman statues embody the characteristics of the Hindu god including his extreme bravery in battle, physical strength, moral character, and his devoted friendship to Rama.

Hanuman, who is also known as Anjaneya, is one of the most important personalities in the great Hindu epic, the Ramayana saga. He is a vanara, humanoid monkey, who aided Rama in rescuing His Consort, Sita, from the Rakshasa king, Ravana.
